Origins
A shirt is a daily object.
It touches your skin for twelve hours a day. It is washed a hundred times a year. It is the first thing people see and the last thing they should notice. That is a high bar, and it is the only one we care about.
Cloth
Italian mills, compact weaves.
We work with Monti and Albini, two of the oldest cotton mills in Italy. Their two-ply, ultra-compact weaves are denser than standard poplin: they resist creasing, hold colour, and grow softer with each wash instead of thinner.
Making
Seven stitches to the centimetre.
Most shirts are sewn at four or five. Ours are sewn at seven. The seam lies flatter, puckers less, and outlives the fabric around it. Collars carry removable stays; buttons are cross-stitched; gussets are cut like a tailor would.
Responsibility
Fewer, better, longer.
Our organic line uses GOTS-certified cotton and pigment dyes that need less water. We publish care guides so a shirt lasts a decade, and we repair what we make.
